This is a part time continuing position at a Teacher Focused Academic A classification level, $75,796 - $92,312 per annum (pro-rata), working 22.05 - 29.04 hours per week.

About the role
Teaching Focused Academic (TFA) refers to a staff member who is principally engaged to teach, manage, coordinate and/or develop educational programs across the AQF levels.
The overall purpose of the position is to provide teaching, clinical supervision and administration within the discipline area of clinical exercise science. The TFA will make an independent contribution to teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and will form part of the team contributing to the clinical exercise science program. They will undertake administration related to teaching activities especially at a unit level.
About the person
The successful candidate will have experience in education and practice in the field of Clinical Exercise Physiology. The appointee must hold the relevant qualifications to be a placement supervisor as outlined by ESSA (i.e. Accredited Exercise Physiologist). They must also be currently engaged in active practice as an accredited exercise physiologist and continue this work externally in addition to the academic appointment. These requirements will require someone with high level organisational and time management skills and suit an individual who works well in fast-paced environments.
Duties
An example of duties you may perform will include:
- Design innovative curricula and develop learning materials in collaboration with other colleagues as appropriate
- Develop and facilitate learning activities online, face-to-face or in a blended capacity as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning and which reflect a command of the discipline and contemporary pedagogic practices
- Undertake a range of administrative functions connected with the unit/course taught, including moderation and assessment of student work
