JOB DESCRIPTION

 The Academy of Fitness registered as an RTO in 2001 and commenced delivery of fitness qualifications the same year aiming to deliver only the best in Fitness and Personal Training Courses.


We are currently seeking to expand our team with a contract Trainer and Assessor for SIS30315 Certificate III in Fitness and SIS40215 Certificate IV in Fitness.


This role is for a workshop facilitator and online assessor. This is a casual position and hours are booked on demand. This would be ideal for a fitness professional looking to extend their working opportunities.


Position Overview

The Trainer's primary role is to provide quality education and training experiences to Academy of Fitness’s students. 

Trainers are required to conduct teaching programs, and assist, instruct, supervise and assess students.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • present training programs by identifying student learning outcomes and course competencies to be achieved, selecting and executing appropriate training methodologies; 
  • assess students' performance against course competency performance criteria and recommend additional training where necessary to gain competency; 


Key Selection Criteria: 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are relevant to a teaching environment. 
  • Skills in planning and researching the trainers' area, expertise for the preparation of courses and learning materials, and the identification of setting of standards. 
  • Well-developed teaching and/or training skills, including the ability to select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies appropriate to a diverse student population and the competency standards required. 
  • Relevant and related experience in the industry and/or Training Package being delivered.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Minimum Vocational Education required is to be at the level or above the one being delivered, i.e. Trainer must hold a Diploma of Fitness
