An opportunity for experienced Assistant Director or 2IC...
As an Assistant Director/2IC you must be passionate about creating great learning experiences for children, families, the team and local community. You are keen to grow your own skills and talents to really make a difference.
Your role will be to assist with ensuring the Centre provides the highest quality care and education for children aged between 6 weeks to 6 years, build strong relationships with families and be a role model of best practice to our team of dedicated Educators.
Your new role:
- Assist with managing the daily operations of the Centre in line with legislative requirements, policies and procedures;
- Develop positive and open professional relationships with families, children and staff
- Provide strong leadership, support and guidance to all educators
- Ensure our Centre provides high quality education, development and care to the children
- Assist with Rostering and attendances
- Assist with ensuring the Centre is compliant with all Centre policies, State Legislation and National Quality Standards
- Assist with ensuring all Health & Safety standards are maintained in accordance with legislation and Company standards
- Keep regularly informed about the NQF, NQS and the current National Regulations plus current thinking, research and practice while implementing the EYLF
- Assist with the implementation of new initiatives to encourage increased occupancy
About you:
- A Bachelor of Education/Teaching in Early Childhood or Diploma in Early Childhood, would be preferable
- Experience with Qikkids is necessary
- experience in similar position
- Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
- Have a high level working knowledge of EYLF, NQS and QIP
- Ability to adapt and deliver strategies within the Centre to support staff and families
- Passion for early childhood education
- Skills to lead and mentor other educators, motivating them to excel as you deliver care and educational programs
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and CPR Certificates
- Child Protection Certificate
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $45,184.00 - $55,225.00 per year
Schedule:
- Flexible hours
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster
