The client

This centre is one of the largest and very well respected centres in Bundaberg with over 260 children. The centre boasts excellent occupancy rates and supplies support to the children and parents of some of the most highly influential professionals in the community. 

The role

As the Centre Director you will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Centre, ensuring a high quality of care and education is provided via your direction and leadership.

This is an autonomous role reporting into the Executive Committee of a multi-site childcare group providing you with support and oversight.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing the curriculum
  • Overseeing and managing the facilities of the Centre
  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws and educational frameworks governing childcare
  • Recruiting, managing and developing all staff members in the Centre
  • Taking control of the financial aspects of the Centre, including payments from parents and all outgoing costs
  • Maintaining policy and procedure documents.

This is a great opportunity to bring your knowledge of early childhood education and care centre management to a role that you can shape and evolve.

You will be supported by an HR Manager, Onsite Approved Provider/Business Manager and Assistant Centre Director.

Mandatory requirements include relevant Diploma or Degree qualifications to ACECQA Approved Early Childhood Teaching standards / ACECQA approved First Aid qualifications / Child Protection qualifications approved by state regulatory body /Work, health & safety knowledge / good computer literacy.
