JOB DESCRIPTION

The Learning Designer works collaboratively with subject matter experts and course teams in the design and production of learning content and activities to support learner outcomes. This role is pivotal in the success of the Chisholm Educational Plan as it supports the implementation of blended learning across the institute as part of a project team. The focus of these roles will be the Early Childhood resource project.

The role has a strong stakeholder focus, using contemporary learning design principles and methodologies to ensure best practice teaching and learning in an online, blended and workplace environment. The Learning Designer will have a strong commitment to continuous improvements, being open to new ideas and creative approaches in regards to e-learning and face to face delivery methodology.

The role requires extensive experience in design and development of learning resources to a high quality outcome that is both professional and useable by both educators and learners across the institute.

This role is based within our Cranbourne campus, however, we work flexibly with our subject matter experts which requires travel to other campuses.

ABOUT YOU

You will have relevant qualifications in either learning design, instructional design, adult education or training and development. You will have experience working with subject matter experts and the ability to manage and drive project objectives. Desirable would be Bachelor Degree in Education or related field or postgraduate qualifications in education, curriculum design, instructional design, digital learning, multimedia design or similar.

Crucial to your success will be your extensive design experience in an online, face to face and workplace environment across multiple disciplines. Your proven ability to design courses with innovative ideas to assess competencies in multiple delivery modes.
