JOB DESCRIPTION

Fixed Term Full time until 29 July 2021

Band 6 Salary from $80,808 to $87,293 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation

An exciting opportunity currently exists to provide leadership to a team of early childhood professionals around the development and delivery of high-quality educational outcomes that proactively engage families and promote and embed the Early Years Learning Framework principles. The role works closely with the Manager of Integrated Children's Services to support centre coordinators, educational leaders, family day care field officers and educators.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, team player committed to delivering high quality education and care programs that are flexible and respond to the diverse needs of families utilising early childhood services. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering best practice provision of early childhood services; proven experience in providing effective staff leadership; and the ability to successfully engage with families and other parts of Council, are required.

Key selection criteria:
Qualifications and experience as listed in the Position Description

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current best practice in the provision of early childhood education and care services.

Demonstrated experience of providing innovative, high quality customer service within a child-centred, family-focused framework.

Proven experience and ability to provide effective staff leadership and ability to build capacity within the existing workforce.

Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage and work with a diverse range of stakeholders including parents, colleagues and local community organisations.

Ability to produce high quality written documents including correspondence, reporting, and plans.
