This role is a school-based traineeship. In order to be eligible to apply, you are:

  • Currently enrolled in Year 11 at school, on the Central Coast.
  • Of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such.
  • Committed to completing a Certificate III in Business Administration (over a two-year period) through a Registered Training Organisation which may involve attending training one afternoon each week.
  • Able to complete 100 days of work with us (approximately 1 day per week) over the two-year period of the traineeship.

  • This is a paid role, at the trainee wage of $8.62 per hour.
  • This is an Identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander position, only Year 11 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students should apply. An applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

What you'll be doing

The Business Administration Certificate III School-Based Trainee works as a member of a team, under the direction and leadership of a nominated Supervisor/Manager, to support the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused service to the employees of the Central Coast Local Health District.
Trainees must complete a minimum of 100 days at the employing Directorate.
