The Lead Trainer is responsible for leading the development, maintenance and evaluation of a critical Training Plan for the implementation of the Education Management System (EMS). The EMS will replace the preschool and school administration and learner management systems and represents a significant change for a large number of stakeholders. The Lead Trainer has key responsibilities for the development and monitoring of the training plan, approach, training tools and course catalogue for the implementation of EMS. The role also provides specialist advice related to training and change management.

The Lead Trainer collaborates with the Department’s Learning and Development team to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to the delivery of high quality training and coordinating the planning, development and monitoring of complex training needs assessment processes.

The role leads and mentors a high performing team of trainers in determining the needs for different staff including teachers, leader, support and administrative staff in schools, preschools, regional offices and corporate office.

Essential Requirements

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.

Special Conditions

This role is temporary up to December 2022.

The successful applicant is required to gain a prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires.

The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years.
