Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma - Full Time Position

WSUEL Campbelltown is situated on the grounds of Western Sydney University Campus in Campbelltown. We currently have a position available for a Full Time Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma to join our team. The position will comply with the conditions set out in the WSUEL Services Enterprise Agreement and is a full-time position with a pay rate dependent on level of education and years of experience.

Selection Criteria -to be a successful applicant you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Early Childhood Teaching 0-5 years or 0-12 years, or other nationally recognised Early Childhood Teaching Degree or Diploma qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience 
  • DEC approved Child Protection Training Certificate
  • First Aid Qualifications including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
  • Working with Children Check clearance and number for verification
  • National Police Check
  • Ability to fulfil the requirements of a Responsible Person
  • Sound knowledge and working practice of National Quality Frameworks, Education and Care National Regulations and Law
  • The ability to take a lead role of delivering a high quality curriculum, using a collaborative approach
  • An understanding of the educational leader role
  • Developed a strong focus on quality interactions with children
  • Knowledge of overall health and safety regarding education and care services
  • Experience in working with policy and procedures and being actively involved in their review
  • Understanding of the principles of anti- discrimination, staff and student equity, workplace health and safety and other relevant legislation, and the willingness and capacity to implement equal employment opportunity and work place health and safety plans, policy and programs.
  • Be registered with BOSTES for professional recognition of NSW Early Childhood Teachers

Desirable:

  • Involvement in ongoing current training programs
  • Involvement in the preparation and assessment under the National Quality Standard
