Eligibility: Open to Everyone About the Teachers Registration Board of SouthAustralia: The Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (theTRB) is established under the Teachers Registration andStandards Act 2004 (the Act) and the Teachers Registration andStandards Regulations 2016 (the Regulations) to regulate theteaching profession. The object of the Act is, in the publicinterest, to maintain a teacher registration system andprofessional standards for teachers to ensure its members arecompetent, fit and proper to have the care of children. The TRB is an independent statutory authority. The TRBemploys its own staff and is a public sector agency under thePublic Sector Act 2009. The TRB has entered into anAdministrative Agreement with the Commissioner for Public SectorEmployment (the Commissioner) and complies with theCommissioner’s Determinations, Guidelines and the Code ofEthics for the South Australian Public Sector. The TRBadheres to Work Health and Safety requirements, equal opportunityprinciples and public sector principles. The TRB is committed tocreating a diverse workgroup. The South Australian Public Sector Salaried Employees InterimAward and the South Australian Modern Public Sector EnterpriseAgreement: Salaried 2017 governs the employment conditions of theBoard. To find out more about the TRB please visit Job Description: The Project Officer, Professional Teaching Standards providessupport to teachers to meet registration and professional standardrequirements. The role provides leadership for the development,implementation, maintenance and review of projects, programs andpolicies supporting the promotion of the teaching profession andprofessional standards for teachers, including the accreditation ofInitial Teacher Education programs. The Teachers Registration Board is committed to creating adiverse workgroup and providing a flexible working environment. Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department ofHuman Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior tobeing employed which is required to be renewed every five yearsbefore expiry. A current DHS child-related employment screeningwill be recognised as a WWCC until it expires. For all otherSpecial Conditions please refer to the Role Description. Essential Minimum Qualifications: Relevant qualification(s) in education, public administration,project management or related fields.
