About the role
A role in Out of School Hours Care is both rewarding and fun with the opportunity to work in a creative way with school age children. This is an opportunity for a Coordinator to lead an energetic, passionate and experienced Children’s Services team to provide high quality before and after school, and vacation care at our Manly Vale program.
This is a Permanent Term-time position (no vacation care), working 38 hours per week. Split shifts operate as follows: 7am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm (care hours) and 2.5 hours of flexible admin which can be negotiated.
A Coordinator for Outside School Hours Care program has;
- Experience developing and implementing programs for children aged 5 – 12 years;
- Confidence to provide leadership and direction to staff;
- An ability to build relationships with children, their families and school staff; and
- A commitment to ensuring all policies, procedures and regulatory frameworks are met;
- An understanding about safeguarding children and provision of a safe work environment
Skills & experience
- Diploma qualifications in Outside School Hours Care (preferred);
- Experience in managing/developing a team of staff;
- Experience creating quality education/care settings for children aged 5-12;
- Understanding of National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework, including “My Time Our Place” framework;
- Understanding of budgets and excellent administration skills; as well as
- Strong relationship management skills is essential.
