  • Instructional Designer - 5 Month Contract
  • Parramatta - WFH 2-3 days
  • $600 per day plus superannuation

Purpose of the role
The Instructional Designer will lead the TNA, learning content design and the development of materials as well as deployment / delivery of learning as required by the project and will play a vital role in ensuring the development of content is relevant to the learning cohort, high quality and; developed within the required timelines and the scope of the project.

The task is to take existing online and video material for the InEight platform and convert it to content that is relevant to their processes for online learning and possibly facilitated (face to face or virtual) for about 400 users.

Role and responsibilities
  • Execute a TNA to ensure that appropriate learning is assigned and developed for a role based learning implementation
  • Develop course content, activities, learning guides for online and virtual training and learning.
  • Develop micro learning as necessary.
  • Develop a suite of activities/assessments ranked as key focus areas
  • Scope, write and design training materials to train end users in various programs, including quick reference guides, eLearning, lesson plans and training manuals.
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders or subject matter experts, clearly identify the job requirements, policies and procedures and role specific tasks that need to be developed
  • Craft engaging learning activities, compelling content and where required, role specific assessments
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) as required.
  • Work with SMEs / ID within and outside of the project to ensure that the audience has the context required to fulfill the activities within the platform.
Technical / role skills
  • 5 years of successful work experience in Learning Design or specifically oriented to online learning and development of that learning.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating the latest corporate learning trends for both external and internal audiences.
  • Experience with instructional design methodology and the various application methods used for different training solutions.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience designing and developing online and/or blended learning in corporate sectors and operational environments.
  • Specific experience in designing assessments, engaging online learning and impact evaluation
  • Ability to articulate learning objectives that are practical, focused, concise and measurable.
