The development, delivery and maintenance of effective frameworks and systems to identify and mitigate risk and ensure compliance across the University’s operations is critical to the success of our core education and research functions.

The Director Risk and Compliance is a newly created role reporting to the Vice President Resources and Risk which will have full accountability for refining and integrating risk and compliance programs to ensure that they are fully embedded into all planning and project activity across the University. Working in consultation with senior stakeholders to guide strategic thinking around risk management in the areas of policy and compliance, business continuity and critical incidents, and internal audits, the Director will focus on effective, fit for purpose implementation programs to deliver agreed outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have an impressive track record of achievement in a senior role having successfully implemented best practice risk and compliance management frameworks in a complex organisational setting. We are looking for a skilled people manager with a comprehensive understanding of risk mitigation strategies and a reputation for building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
