High School Teaching Assistant

One Year Term, Part Time 20 hours per week (Mon – Fri 9am – 1pm)

Remuneration in line with Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2017

Position Overview

Shearwater is currently seeking a dynamic part-time High School Teaching Assistant to provide ongoing support for a student in year 7. The role will require collaboration with the classroom teacher and the Integration and Support Coordinator to modify curriculum and present learning to the student in a way that allows them to integrate within the class group. The student is physically capable with no behavioural issues.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working within a classroom setting, working with students with special educational needs, and have a sound understanding of the principles, practices, and theory of Steiner education.
