Pemberton District High School (DHS) is seeking to establish a pool of skilled and dedicated Mathematics Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

Suitable applicants will be dynamic secondary mathematic specialist teachers with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. We are seeking teachers who are highly reflective about their teaching practice and committed to evidence-based decision making.

Applicants will ideally possess a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and experience in explicit teaching and applying high impact teaching strategies within the classroom. A capacity and willingness to lead the development and delivery of Secondary elective courses and/or teach outside the Mathematics learning area within the Kindergarten to Year 10 setting will be highly regarded, particularly within the contexts of Technologies, and/or Health and Physical Education.

Suitable applicants will possess professional knowledge, practices and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary Mathematics curriculum using a positive, student-focused approach, and have will success working with students across a range of ability levels, including multi-age groups. You will support major school directions and be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are also required for this role.

Employees will be required to:

* Complete the Departments induction program within three months of commencement; and
* Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
