Teachanywhere is the official provider of English language teachers from Australia and New Zealand for public-sector primary schools in Hong Kong, under the Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) Scheme.

NETs have been employed at state schools in Hong Kong since 1998 and there are now hundreds of teachers employed each year. The programme aims to both provide an authentic English teaching and learning environment for students, and also to share and promote innovation in teaching to meet the needs of the local students.

Requirements - Primary Teachers

Applicants should have either:

(a) Bachelor degree (preferably in English Literature or Language) and a PGDE/PGCE or equivalent

(b) Bachelor of Education plus a TEFL qualification (100hrs minimum with a teaching practicum component of at least 6 hours)

(c) Bachelor degree in any subject plus a TEFL qualification (100hrs minimum with a teaching practicum component of at least 6 hours)

Preference is given to applicants with training and experience teaching EAL, but new graduates are also welcome.

Please note, there is an age limit of 58 for these positions, for visa eligibility reasons.

Interviews

Suitable applicants will be required to attend an interview in person. Interviews will be taking place in Brisbane during February.

Package

On offer is:

• Excellent salary ranging from HK$31,750 to $61,415 per month (A$5,600 - $10,850), depending on qualifications and experience
