Dubbo Visitor Experience & Education Officer Full Time

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), South Eastern Section is offering a truly unique opportunity to work within one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. With the newly established Visitor Experience Centre opening in Dubbo, we are seeking an individual who is passionate about tourism and in providing excellent customer service, to join our Dubbo team.

The Visitor Experience Education Officer (VEEO) position is responsible for implementing and expanding the Education program across Schools and interest groups and performs a pivotal role at a supervisory level in customer service within the Visitor Experience operation.

The VEEO will manage assigned projects that raise the visitor experience profile via education and event activities and positive stakeholder and visitor engagement that lead to a broader knowledge of the RFDSSE services, the RFDSSE network, base, health care, clinics, and allied health projects.

The position will liaise with management and staff on the planning and development of school/interest group engagement strategies, coordinate events, manage school and group bookings to deliver the school program, together with Ambassadorial Program Management.

Essential Skills:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Event Management or Administration and/or relevant experience;
Ability to work hours across a 7-day working week, some out of hours work may be required;
Well-developed creative presentation and group facilitation skills;
Proven ability to apply advanced relational skills to collaborate with and influence others across multidisciplinary and complex organisations;
Confidently & professionally represents self in a public speaking forum;
High level verbal, written, and electronic communication skills;
Computer literacy, (including MS Office applications and spread sheet analysis, Powerpoint, Outlook);
Sophisticated writing skills, experience with Social media and digital aptitude;
Time management, diary and reporting skills.

Desirables:
Willingness to complete Fire Warden training
Current Unrestricted Drivers Licence with clean driving record;
Valid Working With Children Check;
Infection Control COVID Certificate;
First Aid Certificate.
