We are situated in a quiet residential street amid natural parkland, close to three major freeways. The centre has an excellent team culture, with a focus on collaboration and supporting one another. Description Airport West Child Care Cooperative is a 48 place community based, not for profit, long day care centre and kindergarten. We are situated in a quiet residential street amid natural parkland, close to three major freeways. The centre has an excellent team culture, with a focus on collaboration and supporting one another. We offer a fun and vibrant working atmosphere for all our staff. An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Centre Manager to join and lead our dedicated and professional team of early childhood educators. This is a family leave coverage position for a fixed term of 10 months, offering an attractive remuneration package. To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate leadership experience in:
* People and culture; with an ability to build, develop, lead and retain a high performing team.
* Stakeholder relations; connecting and creating strong relationships with families, children, staff and the broader local community.
* Early years; experience as a qualified educator within in the sector.
* Inspiring and motivating; with a passion for the early childhood industry and a focus on leading a positive culture.
Essential criteria:
* Diploma of Children's Services or a higher qualification.
* 5+ years experience as a Director or Assistant Director within an early childhood environment
* Extensive knowledge of all relevant regulations and statutory requirements, including the EYLF, NQS.
* A proven track record in the management of budgets, rosters and policies.
* Ability to work in partnership with parent management committee, families and the wider community.
* Ability to mentor and support other staff to grow and develop professionally.
* A demonstrated passion for childcare and commitment to our organisation's values of Growing, Caring, Inspiring and Learning.
* HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education & Care Setting.
* High level of written and verbal communication.
