Chelsea Kindergarten is an independent committee run sessional kinder. For over 60 years, Chelsea Kindergarten has been committed to providing a nurturing, warm and inclusive learning environment that recognises the early years as a very special time in a child’s education. We offer two 3 year old classes and three 4 year old classes. Through play-based learning we encourage children to explore, investigate, imagine and invent in a child led/teacher supported program. Set within a beautiful new premises consisting of two large light filled classrooms, an additional siblings/community room, staff offices, staffroom and large outside open area. With the support of a parent Committee of Management and our professional team of educators, we are committed to providing a supporting and educational environment for Kindergarten children to thrive.

Description

Chelsea Kindergarten is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Educator to join our much-loved kinder community which has over 60 years of history. The right person will be able to start immediately as a part-time Educator in our 3 year old groups on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. The contract is valid until the end of 2021, with a view to extend. This position will work with colleagues in continuing to support the implementation of a rich learning environment for the 3-4yr old children. Experience working with a Committee of Management and/or within a 4-year-old program would be highly regarded. Requirements of the role:

• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Experience in working with children with disability or developmental delay

  Qualifications

  • Approved Diploma in Early Childhood and Care or Early Childhood Certificate III
  • Current Working with Children card (or willing to obtain one)
  • Up to date First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificate/s
  • National Police Check issued within the last 3 months (or willing to obtain one)
  • Knowledge/experience in the implementation of the Children’
