About the Centre/Service

Belford Oaks is a purpose-built, not-for-profit, community-based centre, which is registered for 35 children each day.We are situated amongst oak trees, which is fundamental to our name and central to the local community.We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach developed by Loris Malaguzzi, to children’s learning and through this approach we understand that children use many different ways to express their thoughts and creativity. The Educators at Belford Oaks recognise the environment as the third teacher and place great emphasis on exploring the natural environment; this is evident in the educational setting we create for the children especially the outdoor play spaces.

Description

We are looking for Casual Educators with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care. We are looking for someone who is friendly, adaptable, flexible and available to cover sick days, annual leave and staff absences in all of our rooms. We are looking for someone who is confident and capable working across all age groups from 6 months to 5 years. We offer: - professional development - a supportive, friendly and helpful team

Qualifications

To be considered for this position candidates will need:

• Diploma or Certificate three in Education and care/ children's services.
• A working knowledge of the EYLF, VEYLF, and NQS
• Ideally candidates will need to have an understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy (but not essential)
