Tiny Legends is a privately-owned, stand alone, community orientated Centre in Brighton, Queensland. We strive to provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for babies and children aged 6wks-school age.
The Position - EDUCATOR
As a permanent Educator (Monday-Friday) at Tiny Legends, you will be responsible for supporting your Lead Educator in delivering a high quality, child focused, fun and exciting program for the children in your classroom. You should understand the importance that free flowing indoor/outdoor play has in the Early Years and strive to support this ideology. The position involves supporting children, families, your Lead Educator and the entire team. You will be required to contribute to relevant documentation such as the daily learning journal, observations and anything else required of you.
The successful applicant must:
- have a passion for working with children, genuinely wanting to give them the best start to life through play based education and a desire to have a positive impact on their lives and their future.
- have a passion for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with families and the wider community.
- have a current positive working with children check (blue card).
- have current first aid/cpr/anaphylaxis/asthma (or be able to obtain this quickly).
- have completed a Certificate III in Children's Services or be actively working towards obtaining this qualification (evidence required).
- have a working understanding of the National Law & Regulations and the National Quality Framework.
- have an understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
- have a high level of professionalism and an understanding of professional boundaries.
- have a strong desire to continually improvement and strive for Excellence (as an individual and as a team)
- have sound professional written and verbal communication skills
