JOB DESCRIPTION

TAFE NSW is currently looking for a passionate Teacher Consultant for our Northern Beaches campuses on a temporary full-time basis. You could be a teacher who is looking to diversify skills within the disability sector or a seasoned Teacher Consultant who is already in a similar role.

The Opportunity

As one of our Disability Teaching Consultants you will be responsible for establishing reasonable adjustment education plans and coordinating specialist teaching and non-teaching support services for students with disability.

This position is in Northern Beaches until 30th June 2021.

To be successful in this role you will need the following;

  • Highly developed skills in, and knowledge of, post-compulsory education of people with a disability.
  • Degree or Diploma in an area relevant to the education of people with disability or qualifications deemed to be equivalent under the Australian Qualification Framework
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110* plus the TAELLN411 & TAEASS502 units) OR its successor (TAE40116) OR a Diploma in VET or Adult Education.
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving opportunities for people with disability.
  • Commitment and capacity to implement EEO, WH&S, ethical practice principles and other legislative requirements.
