The Opportunity

TAFE NSW is seeking qualified, experienced Sonic Design subject matter experts to share their knowledge and experience. Permanent part-time role (17.5 hours per week), located at TAFE NSW Nirimba campus

About you

To be successful in the role you are a passionate professional Sonic Design subject matter expert with the ability to demonstrate developed skills in sound recording, mixing, sonic design and composition. You will hold advanced skill using ProTools software and a developed skillset using a minimum of two additional software suites related to the practice of sonic design. You will have experience in using a range of technologies for sound recording and sound production at a level consistent with working entertainment industry professionals.

You are passionate about the industry, aware of current industry requirements and have a willingness to continue to obtain industry knowledge. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to share information with your peers and students face to face and when required, via connected learning platforms.

In addition, to be considered for the role you will hold;

  • Formal qualification in Sonic Design from a recognised education provider at diploma level or higher
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • Practical experience in the undertaking the business of sonic design at a professional level
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional currency
  • Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment
  • Great team player who strives to achieve success for your all students
