Bakers Hill Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teacher – K-6 appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2022. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2022.

We are seeking applicants who will provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs as outlined in the Western Australian Curriculum. Part of this role will involve using a range of assessment and reporting methods that show student achievement in relation to learning outcomes and a commitment to plan and engage in professional learning activities that support school and systemic priorities. Suitable applicants will also ideally provide a high level of support and participation in team planning for curriculum policy and programs and collaborate with members of the school community building a team environment that supports student learning.

Bakers Hill PS is a Level 4 school located in beautiful rural surroundings just off Great Eastern Highway, approximately 75 kms from Perth. The school grounds provide an attractive setting for the school, comprising of a pleasant mix of undulating land with natural bush and green lawns, native shrubs and shady trees with outdoor settings.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:
  • provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
  • obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
  • obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING

Employees will be required to:
  • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
