Experienced Cert III Qualified Educator

About the role

We are seeking a qualified staff member to join our small, family orientated preschool and long day care centre for 0 to 5 year olds. You will work with a Room Leader and report to the Centre Director. You are an experienced, progressive educator with a strong understanding and appreciation of a play-based learning, and a child-led educational program.

Requirements

• Certificate III
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience is desired
• Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, including asthma and anaphylaxis
• Knowledge of the principles of the UN Convention on the rights of the child
• Strong knowledge of EYLF
• Ability to work in a team, and independently
• Committed, dedicated and passionate about children's education
• Have an exceptional work ethic
• Be a caring person, show initiative and be flexible
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Candidates must also have experience and knowledge with:

• Documenting children's learning through various methods
• Planning and implementing child-led experiences
• The EYLF, including principles and practices
• Knowledge of the NQF and NQS

Applicants will be required to have a current working with children check prior to the commencement of employment and must be available to work between 7:00am-6:00pm (Monday to Friday).
