Amiga Montessori provides education and long day care for children ages two to six in purpose designed premises. Under the guidance of a qualified teacher, children in a Montessori classroom learn by making discoveries with the materials, hereby promoting concentration, motivation, self-discipline, Independence and a love of learning!

The objective of the Educational Leader / Montessori Mentor is to:

• Support the team in ensuring successful and consistent execution of the AMIGA Montessori philosophy throughout the educational programs in the centre
• You will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating meaningful experiences for all children

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Advanced Diploma or Diploma of Children's Services Montessori Qualification or at least 2 years’ experience having worked in a Montessori Long Day care centre
• At least 3 years in a room leader or equivalent position Mandatory Child Protection
• Food Handling Certification (Safe Food Handling)
• Hold a current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and C.P.R. Certification

Highly Desirable Attributes:

• Self-motivated and able to motivate, lead and encourage others Able to problem solve; define and break down problem situations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment towards company values, policies and procedures.
