The client is a recently established registered training organisation which provides education and training services in youth care and family intervention. The focus is on residential care providers with the goal of supporting youth workers in the always changing environment in the field of youth and child protection services. The RTO is a small but growing organisation which seeks further growth and development through their team of competent professionals with goals to expand further.

Job Description:

As an RTO Training Partner (Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention), is to deliver training and assessment in Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention and ensuring contractual and compliance requirements for the delivery of the programs are met in accordance to relevant legislation. This role will also collaborate with other areas in the business to align learning to ensure service delivery will be at a high level.

In this role, your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

  • Deliver training and assessment in Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention through online, virtual classroom, and face to face training
  • Ensure compliance and contract requirements are met in accordance in relevant legislation and frameworks
  • Assist students meet their personal and career goals by providing individual encouragement and constructive feedback
  • Conducting enrolment interviews
  • Manage student assessments for all units of competencies and provide clear feedback
  • In consultation with the Learning and Development Manager, plan for the delivery of all units and sessions as per the approved delivery plan and Training and Assessment Strategy for the course
  • Create and facilitate opportunities for students to develop digital literacy to meet current industry practices
  • Maintain ongoing communication with employers on all issues relating to student performance
  • Immediately advise the Learning and Development Manager of any issues related to the students, selection of units, employers or placement, documentation or any other mater that may affect the quality of the outcomes achieved
  • Document all communications in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and facilitate validation and moderation sessions as per the validation and moderation schedule
  • Ensure all communication and student correspondence is maintained and kept up to date in the student management system (SMS)
  • Ensure all training material and plans have been approved in accordance with policies and procedures prior to delivery and meet the prescribed requirements for accredited training as determined by the relevant Training Package
  • Manage and maintain student support and progression plans such as student support plans for reasonable adjustment and Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)
  • Provide guidance to students applying for RPL and ensure student records are kept up to date
  • Development of contextualised training and assessment materials for current and future courses and clients
  • Design and develop learning and assessment materials for different learning methods
  • Participate in researching, writing, and validating assessment tools and training resources including Canvas and digital resources or platforms
  • Develop mapping documentation, evidence assessment, and learner guides against the specific training package requirements
  • Support the Compliance Officer and follow current policies and procedures relating to training package transition
  • Maintain ongoing currency and professional experience to ensure skills and knowledge reflect current industry practices
  • Collect and submit evidence of participation for all professional development activities

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (CHC40313)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
  • Training and Assessment qualifications in accordance with the Standards for RTOs (2015);
  • Current knowledge on relevant legislation such as Standard for RTOs 2015 and the AQTF
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card); National Police Check
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Preferred: Diploma in Leadership and Management and Diploma of Quality Auditing
