PROJECT OFFICER - BATEMANS BAY

CASUAL ROLE - 2 TO 3 DAYS PER WEEK, 9AM TO 5PM

EVENTUALLY EXPANDING TO 4 DAYS PER WEEK.

THE ROLE:

We have a wonderful role and opportunity here for a dedicated professional to assist the Head of Discipline - Nursing Faculty (HoD) in a training environment.

Our Host Employer is a long-established, independent, not-for-profit organisation that develops and delivers vocational training & education programs, as well as offering general leisure and lifestyle courses. With a strong community focus, they are passionate about investment towards community education, skills and training for social, economic and personal improvement.

As a Project Officer, your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • providing services to support the delivery of training, and continuing professional development of students
  • providing secretariat and administrative support for the HoD
  • using the Canvas App - an Online Learning Platform - ensuring session resources are accessible, setting up of modules and educational resources
  • preparation of Delivery Schedules
  • quality improvement of learning resources
  • printing, scanning and organising / emailing resources efficiently and systematically
  • developing resources for Trainers - e.g. development of Policy and Procedure Manuals; evaluating and collaborating with the HoD and CEO (Chief Executive Officer)
  • organising of clinical placements - following a specific and detailed system to meet ANMAC Accreditation requirements and NSW Health ClinConnect needs
  • logging and organising placements up to Yr. 2022
  • checking verification of students and facilitators
  • stakeholder engagement - reaching out, building networks primarily with a view to placements, garnering feedback, identifying and reporting of issues, advocacy of the organisation
  • identifying areas for process and program improvement to streamline coordination of training programs
  • ensuring compliance in processes and procedures
  • logging of all interactions into database
  • contribute towards projects as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • experience in medical or other education/health programs
  • ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and manage a range of complex tasks while maintaining high attention to detail
  • demonstrated ability to engage quickly and build effective working relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
  • experience in delivering professional secretariat services
  • high level written and verbal communication skills
  • expertise in MS Office - Excel spreadsheet record-keeping is necessary as are high level Word Doc skills, Adobe, ability to use/create tables, flowcharts, formatting of templates, document version control,
  • strong IT skills and knowledge
  • ability to work independently and collaborate with own and other teams
