The Opportunity
- Fixed Term, Part-time (0.6 FTE) position until Jan 2022
- Level B: $109K - $128K Pro Rata (+17% Superannuation & leave loading)
- Based at Kensington Campus, Sydney, NSW, Australia
The Lecturer will be responsible for making a significant contribution to excellence in research and research-led teaching within the pharmacological sciences that complements existing strengths and resources within the School and Department. This includes an expectation that the appointee will develop their research program with external research funding. The position will require outstanding communication and education skills, including engagement with UNSW Australia’s contemporary pedagogy and innovation in teaching and learning platforms. Teaching contributions will be within the broad discipline of Pharmacology and to the various undergraduate programs supported by the School, including the Bachelor of Medical Studies and the Bachelors of Science/Advanced Science/Medical Sciences.

Key Skills And Experience
- A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience in pharmacology teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g., relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable)
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
- Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ability and capacity to implement required UNSW health and safety policies and procedures.
