An opportunity like this comes ONCE IN A LIFETIME. Our client, a well-established Australian registered training organisation is looking for an RTO Manager to join their fast-growing team. The position is based in Melbourne and is a permanent full-time position. Job Description:

As the RTO Manager, you will be a critical member of the management team, you will be reporting directly to the RTO owner to ensure effective management and coordination across the entire RTO operations, including business development, team leadership, management, compliance activities, training quality, course scheduling, and ensuring the efficient execution of RTO policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be working to grow the organisation and increase its current scope.

As part of our client's commitment to quality training, you will be instrumental in guiding training resource development, improvements, quality assurance, project management and project execution.

In this role, you will be instrumental in assuming the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing the RTO, across all areas of operations
  • Business Development (approx. 40% of the role)
  • Planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring compliance activities (ASQA, Skills Victoria)
  • Funding contract application preparation and submission
  • Managing the RTOs business and administration systems (VETrak)
  • Performance Management of all staff
  • Oversee compliance with legislative requirements
  • Coordinating internal audits, validation, and quality compliance matters
  • Developing, reviewing, improving and maintaining existing policies and procedures
  • Training staff and management on key changes to legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Developing, maintaining and reviewing Training and Assessment strategies
  • Project management of Instructional Designers, as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher
  • At least 5 years experience in a Senior RTO role
  • Strategic planning and organisational development experience
  • Customer service implementation and improvement
  • Strong CRICOS and Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 compliance knowledge
  • Excellent people and performance management skills
  • Experience in business development
  • Degree or Masters in Business Administration (preferred, but not essential)
