JOB DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity exists at Miles State High School for a motivated and passionate Junior Secondary Teacher to join our dynamic team in delivering quality, differentiated teaching and learning experiences for all of our students. This position would suit an upper primary applicant or any primary teachers wanting to upskill in the Junior Secondary area.

Miles State High School proudly provides its students with many and varied learning opportunities and effective resources to engage in a curriculum that supports technology, sports, sciences, humanities and the arts. These opportunities are delivered in modern facilities that includes state of the art Trade Training Centre, a new hospitality kitchen, science laboratories, agricultural operations site, sporting ovals and undercover areas to name a few.

Our students, school staff, parent/carers and our wider community are all ‘Partners in Learning' to develop and support high standards and high expectations that positively impact and develop the students we teach so that they become global citizens who value learning and community citizenship.

This position is a temporary full-time position, commencing ASAP until 25th June 2021, with the possibility of extension. Departmental housing is available for your convenience.

Applicants For These Positions Must Possess

  • A relevant teaching qualification. CLICK HERE for further information on teaching qualifications.
  • Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.
