The Role

GP Synergy is seeking an experienced and committed Compliance Officer who shares our values to join our team.

Reporting to the Quality, Risk and Compliance Manager, the Compliance Officer will oversee GP Synergy’s compliance responsibilities, particularly in the areas of General Practice training post and supervisor non-conformance and quality improvement , in the provision of support to the Quality, Risk and Compliance Manager, responding to critical and adverse events as per College requirements and helping to ensure that the organisation is meeting deliverables and reporting requirements as specified in contracts.

The primary function of the role is to help establish and maintain the training post and supervisor compliance framework, planning systems, and processes. Assist in the ongoing management of internal compliance functions and reporting, Quality, Risk and Compliance administration and monitor and action compliance programs for non-conformance.

Essential duties includes:

  • Ongoing monitoring of the training practice environment for compliance and performance management, including the use of audits.
  • develop effective reporting mechanisms to increase compliance and quality within training facilities
  • work with management in the coordination and secretariat support of the Objective Test Committee
  • Ensuring accurate records and reporting occurs in relation to training post and supervisor compliance, performance management and improvement.

The successful candidate must have very high communications, computing and customer service skills, sound work ethics and will take pride in presentation, quality and efficiency of work.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant qualification in compliance, business or regulation, Other relevant tertiary qualifications will be considered
  • Demonstrated experience within a regulatory compliance role, preferably in the Education or Health industry
  • Experience in conducting audits
  • Experience in using risk and compliance systems
  • Experience in non-conformance remediation highly desirable.

Occasional travel including overnight travel and after-hours duties will be required from time to time.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo satisfactory screening, including but not limited to, a national criminal history check and reference screening.
