8.00am to 4.00pm (2 days per week)

Key Responsibilities

The main focus of this role is:

  • Administration of excursions/incursions/other school events – which will involve liaising with the Assistant Principal, Instructional Leaders and Leaders of Learning KLA to book venues and buses, record event onto school calendar, ensure risk assessment is completed by organising teacher, review parent letters, etc and scan and upload documents onto Google Drive;
  • Finance backup – for processing purchasing and payments and other duties, when Senior Finance Officer is absent;
  • General office duties – assisting with management of the school office eg reception and student services and responding to enquiries from students or parents/carers/visitors;
  • Any other duties as assigned by Principal and/or Principal’s Delegate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in general administration/clerical duties and knowledge of office procedures;
  • High standard of professionalism, and ability to exercise responsibility, initiative, discretion, and judgement in planning, organising and achieving outcomes;
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge to apply effective customer service principles;
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines;
  • Highly skilled in scheduling and calendar management;
  • Advanced computer literacy with use of Google applications and Microsoft Office suite;
  • Possess a high work ethic and commitment to excellence and quality in fulfilling assigned work;
  • Flexibility with a high degree of motivation for the role.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with TechOne Finance system
  • Experience with COMPASS and Edval, electronic rolls, attendance records, student enrolments, student information would be highly desirable;
  • Experience in a comparable role in a Catholic Secondary College;
  • Commitment to supporting the mission, teachings, and ethos of the Catholic church’s work in schools and creating a positive school environment for young people in the Marist tradition.

The successful candidate will have completed relevant post-secondary training or have significant and substantial technical and procedural knowledge, skill and experience comparable to at least certificate III.
