CareFlight was founded in 1986 as an aeromedical charity with the mission to save lives, speed recovery and serve the community. Today, we deliver services nationally. Our critical care doctors, paramedics and nurses are specially trained in emergency and trauma, pre-hospital and remote medicine and we use helicopters, jet aircraft, turbo-prop planes and road vehicles to reach and treat patients wherever they are.

We run accredited training for clinical specialists; operate extensive aviation and logistic training for our employees and other organisations; run a range of free education and training programs in regional, rural and remote areas, and partner with emergency service organisations, defence forces and businesses to deliver our expertise.


The role

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Education Administration Coordinator to join CareFlight’s Northern Operation.


About you

To be successful in this role you will identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and have the following:

  • Proven time management, administrative and ability to shift with problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent judgements and to take a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of staff and stakeholders
  • Competent in data management, evaluation, reporting and developing and maintaining systems
  • Competent computer skills including experience with Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowhow with online tools and programs to assist with scheduling, event management, promotion, feedback and media opportunities
  • Competent in multi-tasking and managing budgets, deadlines, details, and overall team KPIs
  • Ability to work autonomously and travel for differing periods, including varying hours to suit program schedule via road and or air
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Previous experience working in a not-for-profit environment
  • Physically fit and able to carry and or maneuver equipment and supplies
  • Competent to drive vehicle and trailer in remote areas
  • Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural considerations
  • Knowledge of education environments and use of learning tools and platforms
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice and experience in quality improvement initiatives
