2021 Cadet Program
As an employee of DSV you will participate in a 2 Year Cadet Program - you will learn on the job while attaining a qualification (Certificate III in International Freight Forwarding). Departments you will work in include: warehouse, imports, exports, customer service, transport and commercial. You will undertake 13 units of study that will be delivered in-house. Upon the successful completion of all units you will have the opportunity to become a fully qualified DSV freight forwarder.
Requirements
- Available to start the 2021 Cadet Program in March 2021
- Be an Australian or New Zealand Permanent Resident
- At least 18 years old
- Completed secondary education with good passes in Maths and English
- Be physically fit - to work in an office and warehouse environment
- Be able to complete study in own time
Remuneration
As a first year cadet, your starting salary will be $40,000 plus superannuation. In your second year, it will increase to $45,000 plus superannuation.
Career progression
At the end of the 2 Year Cadet Program and as a fully qualified DSV freight forwarder, the Cadet can look forward to being employed in a number of roles. Career path discussions will take place in the second year to determine career paths beyond the Cadet program.
Selection process
- 28th February 2021 - Applications close
- Week commencing 1st March 2021 - first round interviews
- Week commencing 8th March 2021 -second round interviews
- Week commencing 15th March 2021 - offers made
- Cadets to commence March/Early April 2021
Skills and Experience
- Completed secondary education with good passes in English and Mathematics
- Experience in Administrative tasks, Customer Service & manual handling environments
- Goal-oriented
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Excellent Communication and people skills
- Well organised
