JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Collaboration and Partnerships (C&P) is an ambassador for the University, managing and implementing strategic relationships that deliver outcomes aligned with Swinburne’s 2025 Strategy.

Reporting into the Associate Director, C&P, you will collaborate closely with professional and academic colleagues across the university to communicate and scope opportunities, with the goal of developing, maintaining and growing relationships to deliver multiple outcomes.

Your role contributes to the development of multifaceted relationships and shares intelligence on opportunities within existing partnerships so that projects and activities are coordinated in a seamless fashion.

To be successful in this role, networking comes naturally to you as you build a profile and brand that reflects the universities values and behaviours, whilst fostering a collaborative culture at Swinburne.

Please note this role is available on a 12mth fixed-term contract.

Contribute to a streamlined and enriched student experience with our Students team. You’ll help ensure every touch point is a positive one - from attraction to course support and campus life, right through to graduation and work or further study opportunities. Our Students team comprises of the following areas: Student Administration & Library Services; Student and Academic Services; and Media and External Communications.

Strategy & Innovation

Plan and deliver strategies across the University with our Strategy and Innovation team. Help with the implementation of a range of strategies including: commercial, business analytics, communication and media, campus spaces, audit and risk, governance, legal and integrity.

Operations

Be a key player in helping Swinburne achieve its vision and deliver our 2025 Strategic Plan. Through IT, Finance and our Facilities & Services Group, the Swinburne Operations team aligns with the university’s three strategic pillars - Future Ready Learners, Research with Impact and Innovative Enterprise.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in external relationship activities, preferably in a tertiary education environment
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in external engagement including sound knowledge of appropriate relationship management concepts, methods and practices
  • Ability to professionally represent the University and match its needs and partner interests
