Reporting directly to the GM-RTO, The Compliance & Programs Officer is responsible for supporting the management of RTO Compliance (including programs) and our active state funding contracts by completing supporting compliance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • RTO Compliance: Support contract compliance obligations in line with each ASQA Standards for RTOs
  • Program Compliance: Support program compliance via UOC updates and or continuous improvements
  • Contract Compliance: Support contract compliance obligations in line with each relevant state funding contract (Skills First (VIC), Smart & Skilled (NSW), VET Investment (QLD), WorkReady (SA)
  • Audits: Participate and support in all internal and external audits involving the RTO
  • Monitoring: Monitor relevant contract changes.
  • Reporting: Maintain general obligations registers against each relevant state funding contract
  • Policies & Procedures: Assist in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures in line with all relevant state funding contract requirements.
  • Business Education: Identify areas of improvement and support the professional development sessions for key stakeholders across the business.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate understanding of RTO Regulatory framework including ASQA & Standards for RTOs
  • Program Support experience including basic instructional design
  • Intermediate understanding of State Funding Contracts (Skills First (VIC), Smart & Skilled (NSW), VET Investment (QLD), WorkReady (SA).
  • Ability to interpret contract detail and translate/communicate this for other RTO staff members
  • Previous experience in Audits and regulator interactions (is preferred)
  • Knowledge of compliant student management system (VETtrak)
  • Attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office.
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task where required and meet deadlines

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years RTO Compliance and/or RTO Administration related experience
