About The Job

Swinburne’s Future Ways of Working will be a critical enabler in achieving its vision of ‘people and technology working together for a better world’. The Future Ways of Working program will transform where we work and how we work.

Reporting to the Director – Enterprise Project Management Office, this role will be responsible for the delivery of introducing innovative work practices and physical spaces that focus on the bespoke needs of Swinburne’s staff, students and visitors.

In this business-critical role, you begin by working with the executive team to scope the program of work in lead up to the rollout of the Future Ways of Working Program roadmap and plan. This position is key in being able to drive business outcomes and cultural change that will foster greater collaboration, productivity and deliver benefits for the health and wellbeing of our workforce.

Our Students team comprises of the following areas: Student Administration & Library Services; Student and Academic Services; and Media and External Communications.

Strategy & Innovation

Plan and deliver strategies across the University with our Strategy and Innovation team. Help with the implementation of a range of strategies including: commercial, business analytics, communication and media, campus spaces, audit and risk, governance, legal and integrity.

Operations

Be a key player in helping Swinburne achieve its vision and deliver our 2025 Strategic Plan. Through IT, Finance and our Facilities & Services Group, the Swinburne Operations team aligns with the university’s three strategic pillars – Future Ready Learners, Research with Impact and Innovative Enterprise.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Experience leading enterprise wide business transformation programs underpinned by strong program management skills
  • The ability to translate strategic goals, objectives and principles into a transformation roadmap and executable plans
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and influencing skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and staff from different levels within the organisation
  • Complex problem-solving capabilities and the ability to determine ways forward despite ambiguity
