The Opportunity:
Donash Education Centre is expanding its services and looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Receptionist & Administration Assistant to provide high level customer service and support in administrative, centre operation tasks and marketing initiatives at the centre on a part time basis. The Centre supports three educational institutes - Tutors SA, STEM Centre Australia and MedPrep – with each institute offering a unique set of courses.
The role will require 15 hrs/week during the centre operation hours. The right candidate will be based at our centre in Campbelltown, performing receptionist duties such as handling parent/student enquiries at the centre as well as administrative and marketing duties as assigned.
Who We Are?
Donash Education Centre supports three leading tuition institutes in South Australia, teaching and mentoring students from Reception – Year 12 (primary, middle, high, SACE/IB) students, and tertiary students. In 2020, we had more than 550 enrolled students overall, and more than 25 highly passionate, qualified and experienced teaching staff from various fields.
Tutors SA is specialised in providing highly successful small group and individual tuition following the Australian, SACE and IB Curriculum. We have developed a reputation to successfully improve the core skills of our students by having their long-term goals set in mind for a sustainable growth.
On the other hand, STEM Centre Australia is focused on enhancing students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related subjects by offering several STEM-focused courses while MedPrep offers UCAT courses targeting the preparation for admissions test conducted by the UCAT ANZ Consortium of universities in Australia and New Zealand for their medical, dental and clinical science degree programmes.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for applicants who possess a minimum of 2 years’ working experience in administration/marketing or related fields. The candidate should preferably possess a minimum of Diploma or professional certification in administration or a similar certification. University students with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be highly reliable and flexible and possess a pleasant personality with high standards of customer service in mind.
The successful applicant should demonstrate that they can provide superior customer service to both internal and external stakeholders (tutors, students, parents, team members) and exceptional communication skills. The candidate should be a quick learner, highly motivated and enthusiastic, capable of efficiently multitasking, proactive, and able to make quick and sensible decisions in critical situations. The applicant should also be able to perform tasks diligently with great attention to detail.
The suitable candidate should possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Advanced level in MS Office, especially in MS Excel and Word
- Fast typing skills with a minimum of 40wpm with accurate data entry
- Ability to apply excellent customer service, listening and communication skills
- Ability to handle face-to-face and phone enquiries, feedback and/or complaints
- Works well independently and as a team, and works comfortably with others with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to organise, multitask, and prioritise
- Professional appearance
- Friendly and caring attitude
- Flexible
- Passionate, enthusiastic, positive and highly professional attitude
- Proven experience in using design software (e.g., Canva, Indesign, Photoshop etc.)
- Experience in creating and publishing social media content and design
- Experience in publishing website content and/or other web and social media channels
Desirable
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce
- Experience in taking videos and photographs for social media posting/promotional materials
- Video editing experience
Work hours
Saturdays 1.00pm – 6.00pm (fixed)
Mondays 4.15pm - 8.45pm (fixed)
Tuesdays 9.00am – 2.30pm (day and time negotiable)
