The Opportunity
Chandler Macleod is looking to engage an experienced Engagement Officer for a contract term of 3 months with a well-established NSW Government department. This role will be based in Mascot however there the option to work from home is on offer.

The primary purpose of the role is to promote and support the development and implementation of quality education programs, tools and resources for the wider team. It is important you would be able to quickly integrate as a member of the Engagement & Education team to work towards the departments objectives and strategic goals.

Job Specification
In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Develop innovative and effective education initiatives to support NSW law and government objectives, for example:
  • Delivering webinar and educational video programs
  • Delivering podcast program
  • Writing resources such as fact sheets, interactive guides, video scripts and/or for point to point transport stakeholders
  • Maintaining the website's Learning Centre's education content
  • Supporting internal education through assisting with Lunch and Learns, Staff forums etc.
  • Developing and delivering new education resources, programs and tools in response to industry and regulatory requirements

    About You
    To be successful in this position, you will need to have experience in the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience running tours and/or excursion programs that involve translating complex concepts to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Proven experience in managing large groups (up to 30 individuals) to ensure a high quality experience and safety is maintained at all times.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience delivering and monitoring education programs for the formal (eg school, TAFE and university) and non-formal (eg community associations) education sectors that have delivered learning, reputational and relationship outcomes (strong emphasis on excursion programs).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing and editing a range of resources (eg online, print, multimedia) that support learning and positioning for an organisation and explain complex concepts and information.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery of programs.
