Role Description/Criteria

The successful applicant will be a highly skilled practitioner with leadership experience, preferably as a Learning & Teaching Leader Leader. They should have highly developed personal and interpersonal skills to assist them in working with and mentoring staff, be able to engage with others as part of a high performing team in an environment of ongoing improvement and self reflection.

Job Requirements

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Learning & Teaching Leader to join our team. The successful applicant must:

be faith filled with a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school and to the spiritual, emotional, social and educational wellbeing of all students
show exemplary learning and teaching skills with the capacity to engage others in evidence based practice
have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to continue to build strong relationships and engage in professional conversations designed to build capacity
have a sound knowledge of EAL best practise
have a thorough knowledge of assessment strategies, be adept at analysing and using this data effectively and assist other staff in this process
be able to mentor staff in evidence based best practice
have a rigorous understanding of contemporary learning and the Victorian Curriculum.

Special Requirements

The successful applicant needs to:
be eager to embrace the Catholic ethos of our school
be an experienced classroom teacher with leadership experience
be accredited to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
have a valid VIT registration
be committed to child safety, to maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices
have read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safe Code of Conduct
have read, and be aware of, the attached statement on the 'Principles Regarding Catholic Education' and our Privacy statement
