JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:

We are looking to hire several tour guides to join our team, to assist with delivering our school camps. Your duties will include driving a 25 seater bus to camp locations, providing interesting information and tour guiding to our campers, following an itinerary to ensure students arrive at locations on time, and watching over students to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

We predominantly achieve this through delivering school camps to Primary and High Schools across Australia, and also work with universities, accommodation providers and other groups.

Role Description:

The successful candidate will help to drive our buses to different camp locations and assist with the successful delivery of school camps. You will work within a team to deliver a high quality of service to our campers. You must be willing to travel to different camp locations and be away from home for multiple days at a time. For the duration of the camps you will stay on-site, with accommodation and meals included.

Your main duties will include:

Driving the students aboard a 25 seater bus to different camp locations
Ensuring your tour group generally follows the itinerary and arrives to locations on time
Engaging with students and talking in front of large groups
Delivering knowledgeable and engaging talks to the students
Watching over the students to ensure their safety and well being
Providing first-aid if required

Role Requirements:

Must have the right to work in Australia

Must hold at minimum a LR (light rigid) drivers license

Must hold a current drivers accreditation

Must hold a current working with childrens check (WWC) or be willing to obtain one

Must hold a senior first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one

Must be willing to travel and be away from home for 3-4 days at a time

Must be available 16-18 MARCH and 24-26 MARCH

Ideally have experience in similar roles, working with children and/or hold relevant qualifications

Must be able to smile
