The Team Holy Name Early Learning and Care Centre is the first stand alone, integrated service offered by the Catholic Education Office of WA. We have an opportunity for innovative and dedicated Lead Educator to join our warm, friendly OSHC Team based out at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Primary School. This is a full time ongoing position commencing as soon as practicable. The Role Holy Name Early Learning and Care centre is committed to providing a supportive learning environment for those candidates wishing to expand their experience and qualifications in child care. With flexible hours as part of the role, this position would be suited to a candidate currently undertaking their Teaching degree. Key responsibilities for this role include: Effectively communicate with the Centre Manager about the day to day operational matters; Work with the Centre manager and other staff to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained at all times; Ensure all interactions with children reflect the philosophy and policies of the Centre, the National Quality Standards, Early Years Learning Framework and Government Regulations; Develop, document, implement and evaluate the program in line with current legislative requirements. Provide leadership to ensure a quality program is provided for children and their families and that the program is in keeping with the values of the Catholic Church. Ensure the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service are applied. Supervise and support staff, volunteers and students to carry out their duties and responsibilities. Work in partnership with families. Your Background: Have a diploma of Early Childhood Education; Have knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant curriculum documents; Have knowledge of Education and Care National Regulations Have knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework ( EYLF) and My Time, Our Place( MTOP) Have demonstrated experience with working with children; Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills; Have current Senior First Aid, Emergency Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training qualifications; Have child protection training; Demonstrate proven ability to effectively communicate with children and their families.
