The opportunity

The Student Life Coordinator cultivates student engagement through the delivery of events, webinars, activities and building relationships that focus on student to student connections; student to staff connections; student to college connections; and student to industry connections; across the student lifecycle from orientation to graduation.

Key activities of this role will include:

  • The coordination, promotion and delivery of student events and activities to support student connections and the student experience.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to build database of successful students, alumni and inspirational speakers.
  • Developing connections to support exclusive student promotions.
  • Actively monitoring student engagement reports to improve the participation retention and success across student engagement events.
  • Collaborating with National Managers to conduct regular student engagement and experience surveys and analysing the data to implement new experience activities, in alignment with student feedback.
  • Collaborating with Marketing to build student profiles and student success engagement videos to support student to student connections and to build a sense of belonging to the College and community.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving student communication channels and engagement platforms nationally to support student to student touchpoints and connections.
  • Implementing and managing a student webinar series to support a student’s development of soft skills, inclusive of student wellbeing to manage their studies to support student success.
This role is being offered on a permanent, full time basis, based at either our Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane campuses.

Your strong interpersonal skills supported by your people-centred communications approach, will support you in your presentations and interactions with a variety of audiences of diverse backgrounds. You are a team player and people person who loves networking, collaborating and developing strong, productive working relationships. You are passionate about supporting the best outcome and experience for students.

Qualifications and experience required:
  • A degree qualification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Previous event management or experience in the promotions, management and delivery of a range of activities and events, preferably in a Higher Education setting.
  • Highly developed digital capability and experience, with the capacity to acquire an understanding of new technologies.
  • Strong ‘place based’ understanding of the student experience of student demographic and student connections and wellbeing needs in a Higher Education setting.
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
