Information Technology Services (ITS) provides corporate IT services to ANU staff, students and visitors in support of achieving excellence in research, teaching and public policy. These services include network, communications, computing platforms, data storage, desktop and mobile access, enterprise systems, student learning environments, and IT security. The work of ITS is coordinated with services provided within and by University Colleges and other Service Divisions to form a cohesive, University-wide information services infrastructure.
The Application Services (AS) area within the Information Technology Services (ITS) Division provides development and technical support services for the University's enterprise systems.
Position overview:
The Technical Lead, Database Services is a senior member of the AS team and is responsible for leading the 4-6 person Database Services Team, managing its operations, undertaking technical analysis, providing architectural guidance in a Microsoft SQL Server environment with proven skills in SSIS, SSRS and Power BI. Reporting to the Manager, Database and Integration Services the successful candidate in this role will be responsible for identifying team goals, measuring success and delivering reliable and efficient databases to support the University's needs with particular emphasis on system and data security as well as configuration management and change control . The successful candidate will consult and collaborate across the University, including Divisional, School and College based staff, as well as liaising with key ICT vendors.
