Overview of Community Engagement

The role sits within the portfolio of the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Engagement), which is responsible for the leadership and delivery of the engagement strategy, and connects the USC community with its local, state and national communities. This is achieved through a focus on partnerships, events and activities that reflect and celebrate key values, providing opportunities and benefits to USC students and staff as well as to our local, state and national communities.

Position Description

Under the broad direction of the Manager, Access and Diversity, the Communication and Events Officer analyses engagement activity and communication needs, to design, support and deliver high quality partnership events and communications across several programs including Widening Participation in higher education, the USC Art Gallery, and community education.


The Communication and Events Officer may be required to work occasional evening and weekend hours to plan and coordinate community engagement activities and events.
