We are currently seeking;

• Part-time/Full Time Student Counsellors for our Perth Campus

Main Responsibilities include:

• Liaise with other departments to support and coordinate aspects of student support including vocational, relationship, social and educational difficulties.
• Identify any potential risks for students and suggests solutions to management to resolve/address the same
• Assist in organising student accommodation, orientation day, welcome date, induction to safety systems and other infrastructure at campus
• Work closely with the Coordinators to organise individual learning plans/contract for students with reported learning difficulties
• Assist the Coordinator to ensure that students have a positive learning experience while completing the course/s
• Attend to student concerns or complaints as required and report this to the relevant department as required.
• Maintain orderly filing systems for records, reports, correspondence and other documents

Skills and experience

Qualification:

• Diploma or higher qualification in Counselling or other relevant streams
• Minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
• Current registration with AHPRA as Psychologist

• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Ability to listen to concerns raised and suggest effective solutions
• Highly developed and effective interpersonal skills with colleagues and students
• Highly developed organisational skills including record keeping of student performance
• Capacity to provide positive mentoring services to support students
• Knowledge of WHS management processes
