We are currently seeking;
- Part-time/Full Time Student Counsellors for our Perth Campus
Main Responsibilities include:
- Liaise with other departments to support and coordinate aspects of student support including vocational, relationship, social and educational difficulties.
- Identify any potential risks for students and suggests solutions to management to resolve/address the same
- Assist in organising student accommodation, orientation day, welcome date, induction to safety systems and other infrastructure at campus
- Work closely with the Coordinators to organise individual learning plans/contract for students with reported learning difficulties
- Assist the Coordinator to ensure that students have a positive learning experience while completing the course/s
- Attend to student concerns or complaints as required and report this to the relevant department as required.
- Maintain orderly filing systems for records, reports, correspondence and other documents
- Diploma or higher qualification in Counselling or other relevant streams
- Minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
- Current registration with AHPRA as Psychologist
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
- Capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Ability to listen to concerns raised and suggest effective solutions
- Highly developed and effective interpersonal skills with colleagues and students
- Highly developed organisational skills including record keeping of student performance
- Capacity to provide positive mentoring services to support students
- Knowledge of WHS management processes
