At Grange Road Kindergarten, situated in Sandringham in the Bayside community, we pride ourselves on our 3-year-old and 4-year-old programs, and Extended Hours programs.Grange Road Kindergarten provides children with an environment that encourages and stimulates their development and builds self-confidence and social skills in readiness for the step into a more formal learning environment at school.At our kindergarten, the program and the environment are determined by the children’s needs and interests. Activities are based on play, which is central to the lives of all children; it is a natural behaviour through which children learn most effectively. For play to develop, children need adults who respect, value, resource and facilitate their play.Grange Road Kindergarten is a committee-managed community kindergarten.

Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educator to join our vibrant kindergarten. We are large two-room kinder, with part-time staff so many casual relief opportunities also available throughout the year. (Additional hours available in extended care program 12.30-4.30) We also work closely with other local Bayside kinders to pool casual relief staff so plenty of opportunities available.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

• Applicants must hold a Diploma in Children's Services (or studying towards)
• First Aid & Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate. (can be completed on Jan 30th)
• Working with Children Check
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills & confident when communicating with children, parents, other educators, and management.
• Adaptable, energetic and community-minded

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the health and safety of all staff and children
• Cover EC Teachers and Educators in two rooms. (3 & 4yo Groups)
