ET Australia’s Training College is a Central Coast based Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering accredited classroom and work-based training programs across the region.

Our history of delivering aged care training means ET Australia Training College is well established in the aged care sector and is known for the quality of training provided. For many local aged care / home and community care employers we are their RTO of choice for recruitment of well trained entry level staff. 

We are currently looking for a Trainer / Assessor who can deliver training to students who are seeking entry level work in the aged care sector. A Trainer / Assessor who can engage with students and employers alike, is well networked within the sector, who will uphold our reputation and is passionate about delivering training to produce quality graduates for the industry. 

The position will require the Trainer / Assessor to deliver / assess CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) to students in both the classroom and the workplace. 

The position is 4 days per week commencing early to mid-March 2021. There is the possibility for the position to be full time as aged care is an area where we see continuing growth. A transition period with one of our current Trainers / Assessors will be available to ensure the necessary induction and training has been provided prior to taking on new students.

The role will require the newly recruited Trainer / Assessor to work closely with our other aged care Trainers and Assessors who also work in this space.

As an employee you will receive all the entitlements and employee perks that come with along with a permanent position including 9.5% superannuation contribution and leaving loading. In addition, after 12 months of continuous service you will be entitled to ‘gifted’ paid days off including a Staff Christmas Eve holiday day, birthday day and additional Christmas closure leave days. Salary packaging arrangements are also available.

Key selection criteria (essential):

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or TAE40116) with the TAE upgraded units TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills and TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools (or equivalent). 
  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or similar or higher-level relevant qualification / degree
  • 2+ years industry experience working in the aged care sector working directly with clients providing person-centred support following individualised plans. Must have experience carrying out tasks assisting clients with personal care e.g. showering, toileting, manual handling, social support.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint at a basic – intermediate level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence to provide training and assessment services to diverse learner groups in both a classroom and workplace setting
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Own car (comprehensively insured)
  • High level of attention to detail and quality
  • 1+ years training and assessment experience (preferred)
