Our client is an advanced community based not for profit organisation who operates a range of services to meet community needs through education, training and the provision of family and community services. They have a great opportunity on offer in their Training, RTO and Community School divisions where they offer accredited, pre-accredited, work skills and leisure courses.

This exciting opportunity for an experienced Trainer and Assessor for Community Services will allow YOU to do what you love and are passionate about while supporting your work-life balance by working on a part time basis of 3 days per week close to home. In this role, you will deliver and assess a range of community services courses for our client, a respected leader in the delivery of community and education services. You are a strong practitioner in your area of expertise with the ability to deliver training for the community services sector.

An experienced Vocational Trainer, you will report to the Training Manager, where some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver high quality industry relevant training and assessment
  • Develop & administer industry relevant resources & assessment activities
  • Assess & address the varied needs of each student/trainee & support their learning
  • Develop best practice models of vocational education & training delivery
  • Ensure content & delivery of training packages and accredited courses meet industry standards
  • Ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Student placement - liaise with organisations & students to facilitate relationship building & collaboration between relevant stakeholders for successful placement

To be considered for this role, you're experience and qualifications will include:

  • Hold current qualification Diploma of Community Services and Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Proven ability to deliver quality training & assessment & to produce supporting training & assessment materials
  • High level time management & organisational skills as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed computer skills & competent in use of the Microsoft Office suite & computer processes
  • Ability to work professionally with all stakeholders across varying levels
  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written
